As much as I love summer’s rompers and off the shoulder tops, I’m SO excited for boots, leather, and denim to take over my closet. Leather is the perfect staple for crisp, fall weather. You’ve probably heard me mention Linea Pelle before- she is a Los Angeles based designer who makes amazing leather handbags, belts and jackets. My favorite jacket in the world is the Linea Pelle Ryder Moto. Every jacket she makes is genuine Italian leather and is softer than any leather I’ve ever felt (I wear an XS in her jackets just FYI.) While you are browsing her site, check out her handbags too. Same leather, same softness. I know her stuff is a bit of an investment but it will last you a lifetime. I always have had the philosophy that you should invest in one, quality item rather than eight cheap ones that will only last a couple months. I invested in this classic moto jacket because it’s a style that will never become outdated and I literally will be able to keep it in my closet forever. Ok, on to the denim. I LOVE Mother Denim. Like Linea Pelle, it’s soft and comfortable yet extremely stylish and chic. Again, it’s a bit of an investment but I wear these jeans all the time and I don’t own hundreds of pairs of jeans but rather a few, quality pieces. Another great place to shop for denim is Zara. It’s a little less expensive yet still feels and fits like higher end denim. Pair these ankle cut, frayed jeans with a basic black tank, leather jacket and my fave Steve Madden heels and you have a classic, chic look for fall.

Lauren I do hope you continue to post more affordable clothes for those of us who can’t afford the outrageous prices. Be realistic. There are girls in their 20’s that create webpages with clothes and shoes that costs like $800 or more. I don’t think the average women can afford that. You have great style and I wish you and Ben a bright future.
These photos are so cute! Would love if you found more “dupes” for your outfits like the $24 one from forever.
These photos are stunning! I love these edgy look babe!

Outfit is absolutely amazing! You really hit the spot with the fall trend. I’ve been poking around your blog and have fallen in love! Keep up the good work!
Lauren, first of all, I LOVE your blog! Second, I really wanted to express how much the group therapy episode spoke to me. I married a Marine a little over a year ago and it was similar to your situation. We knew we were each others person. But unlike you guys, we rushed a wedding. It was beautiful and we are still married and in love. However, just hear me out… When you had to predict Ben’s answers to questions I found that I myself probably still don’t know some of those things about my husband. Not because we don’t love each other or talk, but because some things only come up from time and experiences together. It broke my heart when you talked about leaving LA and everything you have known because I know that exact feeling. I did the exact same thing for my husband’s career as a Marine officer; we have now lived in 3 different cities for his training since being married. It is so stressful for me always trying to find a new job and never being able to make friends because we haven’t stayed anywhere long enough. Not to mention I miss my family like crazy. Marriage requires so much sacrifice and hard work. I don’t think my husband or I realized at the time just how much. I respect Ben so much for being able to tell you how he felt and not just going with the flow. Lauren, it was so clear to me how much he loves you. We are all human and there is not one path to take in life to get where you want to be. Learn to enjoy the journey, just as I am! You are such a sweet, beautiful girl!
