Welcome to our Denver home!! So excited to share with you our recent makeover/collab with Joss & Main. The house was defintely a bachelor pad when I moved in (as it should be) but I really wanted to make it feel like MY home too. Ben was gracious enough to let me redecorate our space and put full trust in me! The home was built in 1910 and has a TON of character. Beautiful hardwood floors, crown molding, and solid plaster walls made this space easy to work with. I love old homes more than anything- they just don’t make em like they used to. Our home is a little on the small side.. At only 800 square feet I needed to brighten up the space and make it appear bigger than it actually is. To achieve this I chose light colored pieces, incorporated mirrors into the space, and made sure all furniture was narrow enough and not oversized. The size alone presented its own set of challenges but we made it work and I’m beyond obsessed!

I love to pair new, modern pieces like our amazingly bold light fixture in the living area with rustic, reclaimed wood and textured fabrics. My favorite piece in the home is the chandelier. Right when you walk in the door that’s the first thing you see and that’s exactly how I wanted it to be. Behind the chandelier hangs beautiful art by the very talented Katherine Freeman. Her handprinted watercolors soften and brighten the space. Grey walls, light and airy fabrics, succulents and bolder light fixtures remind me of my old place on the California coast. I guess there is a little Cali girl still in me. You can shop all my picks here!
